Two minutes, clearly counted.
Use a two-minute timer for brushing teeth, a tidy-up before the next lesson, one turn each in a game or a short burst of practice.
This page opens at 02:00 without starting automatically. Set your sound and press Start. A clearly marked session may be restored when you reload this same tab.
What two minutes is good for
Good uses
- Brushing teeth: start the timer with the first stroke and keep going until it rings.
- Transitions in class, such as tidying desks, packing bags or moving to the carpet.
- Turn-taking: two minutes each on a game, a toy, a tablet or a speaking turn.
- Short practice drills, for example two minutes of times tables, scales or typing.
- Holding a stretch, a wall sit or a plank in a home workout.
How to use it
The page opens at 02:00. Press Start, and the alarm sounds when two minutes have passed. Halfway through, the ring around the numbers is half empty, so you can see at a glance that one minute is left.
If two minutes turns out to be too short, press +1 min while it runs and keep going; the page still opens at 02:00 next time. For a silent finish, choose Sound off before you start.
Tips
- For children brushing their teeth, put the phone or tablet where they can see the numbers, or open Full screen so the countdown is large.
- For turn-taking, press Reset as soon as the alarm sounds and hand over: the next turn starts at 02:00 with one press of Start.
- For a classroom transition, say what needs to be done before you press Start, and let the visible countdown do the reminding.
- If you time the same thing every day, bookmark this page so it opens ready at two minutes.
Questions about this timer
How do I set a timer for two minutes?
Open this page and press Start. It is already set to 02:00, so there is nothing else to enter. The alarm sounds at zero.
Can I use it to time brushing teeth?
Yes. Start the timer when you start brushing and stop when it rings. The large numbers and the progress ring make it easy for children to follow.
Can I run several two-minute rounds in a row?
Yes. When the alarm sounds, press Stop sound and Reset, then Start again. Each round counts the full two minutes.
What if I need 2 minutes and 30 seconds?
Use the time fields under the presets: enter 0 hours, 2 minutes and 30 seconds and press Set timer, or press +1 min to add a whole minute.

A few timely answers.
What happens when I pause or reset?
Pause freezes the remaining time; Resume continues it. Reset returns to your chosen start time and stops the sound. Resetting a running or paused session asks for confirmation. Extra minutes belong only to that session.
Will the alarm work if I close the app?
No. Keep this page open. A locked device, suspended browser or muted device may delay or prevent sound. A home-screen installation is not a background alarm service. Use Test sound to check before relying on it.
Does the countdown continue in another tab?
The timer compares the current time with its saved end time, so delayed screen updates do not simply lose seconds. When you return, it calculates the remaining time again. Your browser may still delay the alarm.
Can I recover a timer after reloading?
On the same page and tab, a reload restores your saved session when browser storage is available. If it already ended, you see the result without an automatic alarm. A fresh visit starts with that page’s default. Separate tabs keep separate active sessions.
What if I change my computer’s clock?
The timer uses your system clock for its end time and reload recovery. Moving the clock forward can finish the timer early; moving it backward can extend it, with the visible remaining time capped at the session duration. It is not a certified timing instrument.
Does full screen work on my phone?
When supported, Full screen expands the timer. Otherwise a browser-window view is used and browser bars may remain visible. Use Exit full screen or Escape to return.
What is saved on my device?
Active sessions stay in this tab’s session storage. Sound, volume, theme and Pomodoro settings are saved locally when storage is available. Offline website files are cached in your browser.
